Arrive at Bole International Airport, clear immigration and transfer to hotel.

Morning flight to Lalibela. Afternoon excursion to the famous rock-hewn churches — a UNESCO World Heritage Site carved from solid rock in the 12th century, still used as active places of worship.

Excursion to Asheton Mariam Church on the mountainside above Lalibela, followed by more time to visit the remaining rock-hewn churches in town.

Morning training run in Lalibela — a memorable warm-up in extraordinary surroundings. Transfer to the airport for the flight back to Addis Ababa.

Excursion to Kechene Pottery to see women designing pottery. Afternoon visit to Sabahar weaver workshop. Evening meal at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant with international race participants.

Morning visit to the National Museum and Ethnographic Museum. Lunch at Taitu Hotel — Ethiopia's oldest hotel, founded 1898. Afternoon at leisure. Evening pasta party at the Hilton Hotel with international participants.

Participate in the Great Ethiopian Run — the world's largest road race with 45,000 runners. Afternoon post-race lunch with international participants.

Depart by vehicle to Ziway. Boat trip on Lake Ziway, followed by lunch at Haile Resort. Drive to Hawassa on the shores of another stunning Rift Valley lake.

Morning at leisure at the hotel. Afternoon drive to Arba Minch — gateway to the south.

Full day trip to Nechisar National Park near Arba Minch — home to zebra, crocodiles in Lake Chamo, hippos, and over 350 bird species.

Fly from Arba Minch to Addis Ababa. Late evening international flight home.
